kylenyc Posted October 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2013 Are there solo gatherings every night and are they hosted? Also, how are they structured? All together in a single gathering? Split by age group? Arranged online before the cruise? Thanks in advance. For example, I was disappointed with Carnival because they structured them as "singles" gatherings and split by age groups (Many solo travelers are not necessarily single). Norwegian Epic/Breakaway and new ships have solo cabins, lounge, and a host who helps break the ice and arrange activities. It was a great experience. However, solo gatherings on their older ships are unhosted and as a result low turnout. Princess gatherings have a host.

There is only one or 2 Solo Gatherings scheduled depending on the length of cruise which includes all ages scheduled and believe may be unhosted. Day, Time and Place is posted in the Daily Compass. Personally don't attend them and think attendance on RCCL is also low.
ireneadler Posted October 21, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 21, 2013 Are those meetings for solos on the first night? Or on the following day? Because I think it would be nice if I can meet dinner mates while at it. I'll be going solo for the first time and dinner time is my only worry.
