Allergies and NCL Kids Club

I asked this question over on the family board without any responses. Hoping someone here can provide some assistance. DD has a severe latex allergy, our next cruise will be the first time we are considering using the kids club. Has anyone sailed with an allergy? How do I alert the kids club folks? Do I call the special needs department or just wait until onboard the ship?

When you go the first night (or whenever) to sign your child up for kids club - you spend about 5 min. and they do a complete sign up sheet regarding your child. They do ask about any allergies that that time and other specific questions about any special needs, etc. and get all of your contact info. You shouldn't need to contact anyone in advance and should not have a problem.

I would recommend heading to the kids club the moment you board the ship. It's open, and wasn't crowded when I did that last year.

This way you have a chance to speak with some of the staff personally and can avoid the chaos that first night when everyone is in line waiting to sign up.

Your TA or PCC should be able to tell you whether or not you have to give them prior warning, though I think that's only in regards to food allergies.
