Messina - which driving itinerary is better?

We will be docking in Messina from 10 am to 7 pm on 28th of October. We've made plans to rent a car for the day but I am torn between how best to use the day! Which sounds better? We are very easy to please in terms of what we like seeing--ruins, views, churches, all good. :D

 

Messina to Savoca to Capo Sant'Alessio to Taormina to Castelmola
