Pros and Cons of R512 on Crown

This is our stateroom...does anyone have any reviews or opinions about it? We were "upgraded", which I'm not sure what the upgrade was, other than we are now mid ship vs aft, same deck, which I'm hoping is better for my husbands back. This is his first cruise and my 2nd (1st on Princess). Seems everyone likes middle decks better? Also, how is the balcony for this room?

R512 is below the Calypso pool deck area, on the port side, there might be noise from moving deck chairs in the early morning or late evening, we usually like to book a deck that has cabins above and below it - less chance of noise, (Caribe is our favorite, bigger balconies, sometimes same price as Aloha or Baja)

We have had rooms just below the pool and if you are a heavy sleeper, you will be fine. If a light sleeper, bring earplugs or your earbuds and iPod! DH slept well in the room and I could swear they were holding grand piano races every night! They move the deck furniture every night to scrub the deck!

Yes, midship is the smoothest part of the ship to be housed. You will not feel the rocking as much as if forward or aft.

Enjoy your cruise!
