No ES but can you get price drops?

Hi I am from Australia and want to do a Carnival cruise when in The States June next year.

 

Last USA Carnival cruise in 2012 I had an ES booking, these are not there any more so if i book now 7 months out will Carnival still honour price drops or are they a thing of the past?

Supposedly Carnival is suppose to be bringing ES back after the current sale at the end of the month.

I will hold out for the ES then.

 

I got an email today from carnival saying it was the last day of the sale but June being a popular period I would rather my chances with an ES fare from the start rather than a sale fare.

with normal bookings you can get price drops up until final payment.. after final payment only early saver rates can get price drops.

You can get price drops with fares other than ES up until the date that final payment is due. Although Carnival says now that they won't offer upgrades if prices drop after you make final payment, some people report being able to get upgrades under such circumstance.

they will bring back the es rate and even if you book at the other rate now you can change to es rate when it comes out. at the regular rate you get price drops till final payment is due.
