Considering the float has nothing on it that advertises the Quantum of the Seas (many ships with FlowRiders and Rock Walls, Quantum lacks a zip line, and no mention of any of the major Quantum bullet points) the last statement seems allude to a Quantum Broadway Show announcement.

The float will celebrate the November 2014 debut of Quantum of the Seas – the first ship in Royal Caribbean’s groundbreaking Quantum-class – and will feature a special, surprise performance.

I agree. It sounds like we'll learn what the broadway show onboard QOS will be by watching the parade.

I thought QOs has 2 Zip lines . You can clearly see them in the large pixel images

Do you have one of these photos to post? I'd love to see it! Thanks

I hope that TheDyesolKid isn't referring to the 2 (faint) lines you can see going over the pool?! I don't think that they're zip lines! ... unless they're one of the many MORE TO COMEs? Ha!

Surprise performance is probably godmother singing a variety of broadway songs to still keep us guessing.

I think you're right. Wasn't RCCL planning on another reveal in the 3rd quarter?

It's now the 4th quarter and nothing, nada, zilch. :(

I'm surprised that the float isn't one big 'MORE TO COME' sign.
LOL:D.....I will look for that float on that day.

I think Royal should have bungee jumping out of the North Star while the arm is over the side of the ship, just so you barely take a dip into the sea!:D:rolleyes::eek:

Keith

Could you just imagine something like that!

I'm so excited! I'm going to be in New York to celebrate my 65th birthday, which is on Thanksgiving Day. I've always wanted to see the Macy's parade, so I'm going to do that on my birthday. Now, I'll also get to see the float and perhaps learn Quantum's Broadway show…and then begin my countdown to sailing on the inaugural. Life is good.

Looks like it's official that Kristen Chenoweth will be on Royal Caribbean's float. I think that may add some extra fuel to the Wicked theory but it could still be just to allow her the opportunity to announce the act and continue her promotional work.

When we sailed Adventure of the Seas in June, the loyalty ambassador told us that there would be a major reveal in the month of October. I don't see the interior decorator and the sports specialist as big reveals, although that information was interesting. I still would like to see diagrams of all ship cabin and suite categories so you know what you signed up for or will be signing up for. We all must learn patience, I guess.

Nothing has even been mentioned about Ziplines on the Quantum. What we know for sure is: Flowrider, North Star, iFly sky diving simulator, and bumper cars.

Don't forget roller skating and the trapeze school...

I see that she is scheduled to headline the float & perform a surprise performance according to this post on the RCI Tumblr page. It's GOT to be wicked... what else could it be?

"As part of the 87th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade festivities, Quantum of the Seas godmother Kristin Chenoweth will headline Royal Caribbean’s new float, “A World at Sea.” The float will celebrate the November 2014 debut of Quantum of the Seas and feature a special, surprise performance from Chenoweth. Stay tuned for more details"

"You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown"? "Phantom of the Opera"? "Candide"? "The Music Man"? "Glee: The Musical"? She has had a career other than just Wicked. Heck, she performed songs from "Oklahoma" in the 2005 Macy's Parade despite not being in a Broadway production of that show.

For all the reasons previously stated (cost, sets, length, original Broadway run is still ongoing) I doubt it will be Wicked.
