Pretty happy with CAS again

Just off of the Jewel 16 day Panama Canal cruise. Couple of weeks ago and although I only qualified for reasonable discount for Haven 2 bedroom suite - the crew onboard the Jewel's casino were great.

 

By the 3 rd day both DH and I were upgraded to VIP andwithin a few more days I had over 37000 points....all earned on video poker machines. I received spa treatment, three or more free specialty dinners and about half of our onboard account was also comped.

 

But most importantly to me-as I would play regardless of discounts or perks....was the friendly amazing casino staff!

 

Now trying to decide which cruise to book next to see how this higher level of points will help with discounting our next cruise. We already have one booked for March but that one is already bought and paid for.

 

Again....for now I am once again happy with CAS! Especially the crew that we spent very night with in the Jewel casino. Miss them:(

I've been on the Jewel a few times and have always enjoyed their casino staff. I can only think of one bad incident in a NCL casino. But that was a drunk player who got arrested. He smashed a window right next to me on the Dawn after screaming that he needed a drink and a fan. The dealers have almost always been excellent.

Bottom line is that I would PLAY whether or not I rec'd the perks! So no need to worry about me! I mean if my husband ( who is playing the bill!) doesn't worry....no reason for YOU to!

 

Free Haven suites, drinks, spec restaurants....I consider it worth the cost of the casino...win OR lose! As again.....I would play the same whether or not I rec'd ANYTHING from the CAS group....

 

For the record though......I have made TONS of money on some trips, lost tons on others......and am not naive enough to think that I will "win" in the end.....UNLESS you figure in the comps! And LOVE to play....win lose or draw! Just another of my "guilty" pleasures....and one that I am fortunate enough to be able to afford....

I'm the same way, would gamble regardless of the comps...those are just a bonus to me.
