My husband is looking for the "low-down" on the casino onboard the Carnival Pride. He's wanting to know what table games are on there (specifically 3 card poker?), what special games and/or tournaments are there, players club information etc

Thanks!

Back in October of last year I wrote a trip report about the Carnival Pride. My trip reports are casino intensive mostly about craps but my wife plays everything but slots and I usually make some mention about the other games. You can probably find it by typing in "Carnival Pride Trip Report in the search box.

i have been on the pride several times. they have 1 craps table $5 minimum. at least 2 3-card poker tables with a $5 minimum.(also if you just want to play the pair plus line and nothing else on 3-card poker you can but it will be a $10 minimum) they have 2 or 3 black jack tables with both $5 and $10 minimum. a roulette wheel which is $5 minimum. they have a poker pro table i did not play but i think it is a $1/$2 blind and not sure of the rake. they have a couple more table games but i can't remember what they are. the lay out is basic. the table games are in the middle of the casino anchored by the craps table and the table games go out from the craps table with about 6 table games then anchored by the roulette wheel on the far end then circle back around with more table games back to the craps table. that way the pit boss has access to all games with the walkway between the tables. the poker pro then is between the table games and the casino bar. which is to the right of the table games if you are looking at them from the walk way through the casino. then the whole casino is surrounded by slots. i have also been on the miracle which is the same as the pride and casino is exactly the same.

and another thing i forgot to add about 3 card poker. they deal different then they do in say vegas or atlantic city. in vegas and atlantic city or most land casinos when they deal 3 card poker the table has a device that shuffles the cards and then spits out the top 3 cards of the deck at a time. the dealer then takes the 3 cards and gives them to one player and continues this way around the table. on the boat the dealer will hand deal one card to each player around the table including the dealer. then they will hand deal the second card to each player around the table and then the same with the third card. not sure which was is better. but i know when i am in vegas or AC and play a long time in one sitting i always am afraid to get up to go to the bathroom fearing that the person sitting to my left will get my cards and get a big hand that i would of gotten if i didn't get up. so in that aspect on the boat it wouldn't matter because if someone gets up the cards for everyone will be altered and you won't see the effects of it.
