computerworks Posted November 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2013 The Garden Villa - A Photo Tour of the Jade, Suite 14000. (or, "Just what is that up there, behind the one-way glass?") After more than 10 years of cruising with Norwegian, we finally got an opportunity to sail in the Garden Villa, on the Jade to the Greek Isles. My wife and I have sailed many time together in Balconies and Minisuites, and a few lucky times in the Haven. This trip would be different. We were traveling with my wife's sister and friend, and had originally looked at the 2 bedroom Penthouse as a suitable cabin. Circumstances were such that the Garden Villa became a viable option for us on this sailing... so we took the leap. I never thought we would have an opportunity to sail in the finest cabin at sea; this was an amazing experience. I want to share my pictures, to give you a sense of the incredible features of this suite. ... so here is a walking tour of The Garden Villa, 14000, on the Jade. computerworks Posted November 3, 2013 Author #2 Share Posted November 3, 2013 Situated on Deck 14, in the Haven, this cabin is one of two Garden Villas onboard; the other is a mirror image of this one. The suite consists of an entry foyer, 3 bedrooms, and a large living room / dining room. Outside is a Garden area with hot tub, steam room, furnishings and outdoor dining room. Stairs lead to an upper private sun deck. Here is a layout... As you enter the suite, there is a large foyer area, with two hallways. A small alcove has a Visitor phone station And a guest bathroom is located here. The first hallway leads aft from the foyer, to the three bedrooms. computerworks Posted November 3, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted November 3, 2013 The 3rd Bedroom is slightly larger than the 2nd one, and has a couch for an additional guest. The bathrooms in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are very much identical to a bathroom in a Minisuite, with similar size and fixtures. All bedrooms have flat screen TVs and DVD players. computerworks Posted November 3, 2013 Author #10 Share Posted November 3, 2013 The Dining area. The desk is equipped with a laptop and Bose Stereo/DVD player. We removed the supplied PC and used our own equipment. The stereo plays thru speakers all around the room, and can be connected to an iPad/iPod or PC for music source. computerworks Posted November 3, 2013 Author #12 Share Posted November 3, 2013 The piano was amazing. The little tech box in the lower left is a digital player device; the cabin was equipped with a library of piano artists on digital cartridges. computerworks Posted November 3, 2013 Author #16 Share Posted November 3, 2013 The Hot tub. To the right of the Master bedroom door, in the garden, was a private steam room. During the day, the Garden Steward would fit the couches with pillows and shade linens. Looking down from the upper deck This tub was a 'chick-magnet' ...had to chase them away constantly.

computerworks Posted November 3, 2013 Author #19 Share Posted November 3, 2013 Our final thoughts... what more can I say? The Suite was breathtaking...the service was outstanding. We may not have the chance again to sail in such style...but we will remember this trip forever. No one does it better than Norwegian. :p (I will post our Trip Review and pictorial on a separate thread.... ...Norwegian Jade - Greek Isles, Oct 12-19, 2013)

kchiumento Posted November 3, 2013 #24 Share Posted November 3, 2013 I may just have to postpone our next cruise so we can save to have this Garden Villa. Absolutely stunning. We thought we were living the "Suite life" in the family suite on deck 11, but this just blows me away. How many does this cabin accommodate? HokiePoq Posted November 3, 2013 #25 Share Posted November 3, 2013 Thanks so much for posting these wonderful pictures! Question: Is the cost for this per person or per suite which can be divided between two families? I was wondering about that piano...you answered my question before I asked it. Really enjoyed looking at these.
