MarkSeattle Posted November 29, 2013 #51 Share Posted November 29, 2013 Bride wound up canceling the whole group for her bachelorette party. She felt bad the NSAID of honor could not go. Looks like a weekend trip to San Diego will replace the cruise... Sorry things didn't work out; but thanks for the update. I've been watching this thread and was wondering what was going to happen. Let us know if the maid of honor spills the beans in San Diego ;).
arush5268d Posted November 29, 2013 #52 Share Posted November 29, 2013 Wow...I can't believe the bride cancelled. It sounds like if someone took responsibility for her past actions and spoke with Carnival she might have had a chance of making amends. No matter how you slice it - a stinky situation. 45014 Posted November 29, 2013 #53 Share Posted November 29, 2013 Read this thread.... Kind of similar. Funny these issues come up at the same time. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1937037 I thought the same thing. The picture even looks alot alike. JUST SAYING! LaJollaCruiser Posted November 30, 2013 #54 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Ok, all you enquiring minds... I finally have the update. So, the bachelorette was booked in a cabin ... . Are spinsters now called "bachelorettes"? When did this happen?
ManyMore Posted November 30, 2013 #55 Share Posted November 30, 2013 I would have just chosen another cruise line.

morganboys Posted November 30, 2013 #57 Share Posted November 30, 2013 why not just cruise another line?
kcwingwalker Posted November 30, 2013 #58 Share Posted November 30, 2013 why not just cruise another line? Perhaps the bride found that would be too easy and wants to keep things complicated............or friend is banned by every cruise line on earth! RumRunner01 Posted December 2, 2013 Author #59 Share Posted December 2, 2013 We don't have another choice in cruise line. We are on the west coast and need something for an extended weekend. Carnival is the only line offering the three night cruises out of Southern California. To fly to Florida would be too expensive and/or lengthy for most of the group. Originally we were booked on a three night cruise with Princess but Princess decided to cancel all the three night cruises in the spring, so only option was Carnival. Ocean Dancer Posted December 2, 2013 #61 Share Posted December 2, 2013 Thank you so much for coming back..........most people never do.....................like reading a novel and then finding the last page or two missing. Has the bride thought of an elegant dinner party and staying on the Queen Mary? second best choice, and you are on a classic ship.

I love the Queen Mary. I agree, I'll get hooked on a thread but many times am left hanging with no resolution. So I always try to come back and finish my stories.
