April or Feb?

Looking to do a B2B on the Magic. Has to be either Presidents Week or Easter Week (school). Feb is $700 less expensive for the same cruises, but am wondering weather wise if it is a good choice. What do you think?

The weather has more potential to "bite" you in February. We've had 2 Feb. cruises that were downright COLD, although we've had 5 or 6 others that were beautiful. The ship will be full either way and the passenger mix will be similar (tending more toward older kids who can only cruise when school is out).

Is the airfare any different?

Airfare is pretty much the same both weeks--expensive.

February weather is the concern for me. We always spend February break in Florida and have had weather in the 80's and weather in the 50's. Only have cruised in April and August in previous years. I hate how expensive DCL is and wish we could travel other times! I am a teacher, so taking the kids out of school isn't even the issue!

Well' date=' you called it....February weather is spotty. It can be great and it can be cold. I'd hate to spend the big bucks and get crummy weather, so I'd do April.[/quote']

Yeah, I guess I can think of $700 as insurance for nice weather!
