LambKnuckles Posted November 20, 2013 Author #155 Share Posted November 20, 2013 ...and that was only SOME of the costumes and decorations... As I said, I didn't get many and I'm just glad that I was able to borrow/steal many from others who were there!! THANK YOU!!!! So let's wake up and start the day... HALLOWEEN... and we're approaching Grand Caymans... Sunrise will be at 6:30 and we'll make port at 7:00am! This port is a "Tender port" meaning that the only way to go ashore is by boat... You go to deck 0 and then climb down some stairs and over into a smaller boat that takes you to port. Nana can't make this maneuver, so neither of us will go to port! As I said before, this is HER cruise. And what she wants to do, we'll do! So... We'll fill the day with on board action, food, resting, and relaxing!!! Let's start with sunrise... The first thing I see is someone following us... Then turning, I see the sun is about to come up -- but the clouds are going to block some of it... Let's see... Ooo, the moon is still up there, too!!! ... and the island is there too! The colors are beginning... The sun is starting, but it keeps getting hidden with the clouds blowing through... LambKnuckles Posted November 20, 2013 Author #156 Share Posted November 20, 2013 Let me see if I can get a close up of that. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE sunrises... BEGINNINGS!!!! It's like the day is unwrapping for me... and delivering new surprises and FUN FUN FUN!!! Of all days... HALLOWEEN... are those two eyes looking down through the sun rise??? <hee, hee, hee> Now... the sun!!!
~Christie~ Posted November 20, 2013 #157 Share Posted November 20, 2013 Question about using the internet and carnival forum, I know you said it was free.....So if you use set it all up before the cruise no fees apply at all? How many times can you posts on it?

LambKnuckles Posted November 20, 2013 Author #159 Share Posted November 20, 2013 Question about using the internet and carnival forum, I know you said it was free.....So if you use set it all up before the cruise no fees apply at all? How many times can you posts on it? Yes... The forums are free to use on board. They never ask for your cabin number or folio number, and that's how they bill you!! Using their computers, in the Fun Hubs guarantees you're not connecting via a phone line and their satellite tower... So I did it more from their computers or my laptop that doesn't have a way to connect with internet. I worried if I'd try from my iPad!!! So I didn't post from there!!! I posted multi-times each day, and sometimes multi-time each "session." Just realize, it's NOT fast!!! Sometimes it would take 10minutes to get me onto the page... But I wasn't in a hurry and Nana loved hearing what others wrote back to us!!! It's time consuming to join, create a user name and password, so I did all that from home. Then, taking the time to start the thread, and getting others to post BEFORE I left, made me know they could find it and post. So YES, I think it's best to start the thread before you leave! LambKnuckles Posted November 20, 2013 Author #162 Share Posted November 20, 2013 Let me get on with the photos and writing. As I said, I love the tv showing me where I am. Not only in reference to the globe -- but also on which side of the island, etc... Here's our updates, today!!!

LambKnuckles Posted November 20, 2013 Author #164 Share Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) Coming back in from the Deck 10 forward, through the secret door... It's still VERY early!! And I find little things on our doors. I wonder what they're doing for Halloween??? Little red things that kind of reflect... But, WAIT... is it April Fools Day or did something happen while I was outside??? OH MY!!! I hurry in and find Nana sleeping and all's well!!! It's just a Safety Drill... and I'm happy to know they stay up to date on training and drills!!! Edited November 20, 2013 by LambKnuckles

kcbbq Posted November 20, 2013 #169 Share Posted November 20, 2013 Thank you for a lovely thread, Lambie. We were on the Magic with you and met you and Nana at the Crazies Halloween gathering in the Piano bar. (I'm Sheri and Andrea's friend) Viewing your photos brought back many wonderful memories, and the Halloween costume photos made me LOL. boaterette Posted November 21, 2013 #171 Share Posted November 21, 2013 Those are some of the most beautiful sunrise pictures that I have ever seen. The yellows and oranges are just amazing. And though I have never met you, you seem to be a very wonderful person. Thank you for sharing.
Blueboss Posted November 21, 2013 #172 Share Posted November 21, 2013 Finally got caught up with this review. Your pictures are wonderful! The rainbow colors in Jamaica are neat and your sunrise is stunning! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! We had a great time on Elation, rough seas for 3 days, but still had fun. I have decided not to do a review of our cruise. It was my young niece and nephew's first cruise and my pictures reflect that. My sister would not appreciate me plastering her 6 and 9 year old children's pictures all over CC. Suffice it to say, those kids are now hooked on cruising! LambKnuckles Posted November 21, 2013 Author #173 Share Posted November 21, 2013 Loving your trip report. We will be going on Magic for the first time in a few weeks and your pics are getting us excited. My wife wanted to know how you came up with "LambKunuckles"? THANK YOU for reading my review and commenting!!! I pray your cruise on the MAGIC is noteworthy and FUN FUN FUN!!! I know how excited I get as Embarkation day gets closer and closer!!! I hope you will share your voyage with a review or comments!! Lambknuckles came from a nickname I had growing up. Daddy would call me his Lambknuckles. He always said it was cross between being as sweet and soft as a Lamb and as silly as a Knuckle-head. As I grew, this got shortened to Lambie and I even named my daughter Mary... I always said Mary didn't have a little Lamb -- but Lambie had a little Mary!!! (But then -- Mary is a family name. Nana's real first name is Mary!) Thanks for asking!!! :)
LambKnuckles Posted November 21, 2013 Author #174 Share Posted November 21, 2013 Those sunrise pictures are just amazing. Kind of makes me want to put some sun screen on! :p Staying out in the sun, we needed hats and sunscreen... but I love your comment!!! :D But the sunrise and the brightness as the sun rises always is special!! The "opening of a new day!"

It was a wonderful cruise! It was good to meet you!!! Wasn't our Halloween gathering wonderful!! I love cruising when I know folks going too! It's always great to meet new people -- but it's comforting to know others on board, just in case anything happens!!! I'm glad you're enjoying the review. I hope I get this done a bit faster than I started -- but, again, tonight, I have a meeting... It seems that in the mornings, while everyone's still asleep, I have time to think and write... But by the end of the day, the chores and to-dos are just too much!! :o
