plucasana Posted November 6, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) It does. Thank you so much!!!! Would you put it in the carry-on or in the suitcase ? (I ask because those are not allowed on german ships and I do not want to be called into the naughty-room whatever that may be).... CaroleSS Posted November 6, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) You can put it in your suitcase - mainly because you don't want to haul it around! :p From the Celebrity Website Certain items that generate heat or produce an open flame are not permitted on ship. This includes clothing irons, hotplates, candles, incense and any other item that may create a fire hazard. (Curling irons and hair dryers are allowed.) http://www.celebritycruisesexclusives.com/before-your-cruise/guest-conduct-policy/ Edited November 6, 2013 by CaroleSS
travelingmom37 Posted November 6, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 6, 2013 Has anyone ever had an issue with bringing a heating pad? This is the only thing that saves my bad back.
TheWren Posted November 6, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 6, 2013 I call it a "hot air brush" :p and have taken mine with me each time - I've not had a problem. And it remains out on the vanity desk, so the cabin steward sees it every day and has never mentioned any objection.
phoenix_dream Posted November 6, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 6, 2013 In the US we would call this a curling iron, along with those that are similar but without brushes. Should be no problem bringing it onboard.
kitty9 Posted November 7, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 7, 2013 Has anyone ever had an issue with bringing a heating pad? This is the only thing that saves my bad back. When called down to the naughty room to get back the charger for my mobility scooter. I saw three heating pads on the table. I would assume that if found, they could take it, and keep it, until the end of the cruise.
travelingmom37 Posted November 7, 2013 #9 Share Posted November 7, 2013 We sailed from Alaska after doing a week on land. I had purchased an ulu knife ( small semi circle blade w/ a wood handle for chopping food, not at all menacing) which was confiscated from my luggage until the end of the cruise. This seemed reasonable until I saw the same item in the ship's gift shop w/ no restrictions re. taking it at the time of purchase :)
