Is this liquor pretty plentiful in all the shops, or is there a certain place you recommend we buy it from? How much is allowed to take back to the US?

The allowance is probably mentioned on your cruiseline's website.

 

You can purchase Curacao Liquor in most souvenir shops when you get off the ship.

In the local supermarkets (and at the Curacao Liquor factory) prices are lower. So if you're on a sightseeing tour ask the driver to stop at a supermarket.

Bear in mind that there are 5 colors and all taste the same, also coffee,rum raisin and chocolate.

Thank you for this information. In about 9 days we'll be visiting Curacao and will be taking the Curacao tour.

We just returned from our cruise that went to Curacao and we went to the Curacao liqueur factory. You do not get to see how they make it but you do get samples at the end. Aside from the regular Curacao in the 5 colours (which all tastes the same) they have three other flavours - coffee, rum and raison, and chocolate which was a favourite and yes we all bought a bottle to take home and pour over vanilla ice cream. Yum!
