Number of sodas vs. number of passengers

We're driving a whopping 2.5 hours to the port and we have FTTF. I don't mind carrying on drinks, just needed to know how much we're allowed. We were thinking since our son is only 3, we would only be allowed 2 12-packs. I figured since we paid for our son to go, we should be allowed "his allotment" of sodas. Since he doesn't drink sodas, we'll just have his share. :)

I've never seen an actual policy, but maybe there is something out there now..

I usually just toss a case of water in a duffle and some sodas in another duffle and call it good. They seem to prefer that since they handle it the same as regular luggage vs. a 12-pack box or case of water.

If there is a store near by the port.... you can also get off and get back on with another 12 pack for each of you, and pick some up in ports. Sometimes it is easier to buy the bottomless bubbles package.

The bottomless bubbles package is okay if you're a Coke drinker, but not everyone likes or wants Coca-Cola.

Here's the current policy from Carnival's FAQs:

Liquor and Beverage Policy

On embarkation day, each guest may bring a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages on board and only in their carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 bottles and/or cans, 20 ounces each or less.
