katyb405 Posted July 11, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2005 We leave for our mediterranean cruise on the carnival liberty in about a week. What is the cost of using the internet on the ships? Do they have a price for unlimited surfing or is it by the minute, hour? I have a canon digital camera. At home when I take pictures I download them into a program called Zoombrowser. My memory card on my camera at the highest resolution only holds about 150 pictures. I know we will be using much more than that on our 12 day cruise. How can I download and save the pictures using the computers on the ship? any help would be VERY much appreciated!!! :)
tribbs1 Posted July 11, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2005 The Conquest ran some internet package specials. If I recall, 100 minutes was about $30. There were some smaller packages too. It wasn't particulary expensive, but maybe you'd rather invest your money in 2nd digital card for your camera.:)
serene56 Posted July 11, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2005 Internet cafe on any ship do not have the capabilites for downloading. (saves the ships computer from virsus this way) Invest in another card. They are cheap enough today.
salty dingo Posted July 12, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2005 By far the least expensive way to surf is to find an internet cafe in port, and go there. I have done this throughout the Caribbean, and there was always a place in town where you can surf for 30 minutes for $3 or so. There is no comparison to the ship's prices.
