Early saver and PVP

How can you verify that your PVP booked you on early saver. It doesn't say under manage your cruise...at least, I didn't find it.

Problem: my friend booked a cruise in March, used a PVP. This past week she asked my DH to help her with filing for a price reduction. She was notified that she didn't have Early Saver. She is 99.9% positive that she DID ask for it at time of booking. She called her PVP, and he said it wasn't available when she booked. Her cruise is next month, so she is way beyond final payment.

My friend is beyond disappointed as it would have been over a $400 OBC. So, once you are booked, is there a way to verify that you have gotten the rate you want?

Thanks

Please come back to tell us what rate is listed on her email.

If Early Saver wasn't available when she booked last March, it could be that she booked a "special promotion" available at that time. Early Saver rates seem to disappear when their promotions are available.

Hi 2cruzen :)

You can verify early saver in your cabin confirmation

email. Look near the bottom of the email, all the fine print,

look for 'Guest Notes', it will say early saver.

:)

Looking at confirmation of cruise we have booked with Es and it mentions rules for ES as note 3.

Wonder though if that is standard boilerplate on all confirmations or just there when ES is booked.

The 'Guest Notes' section of the cabin confirmation

email lists the rate booked followed by the rules

associated with the rate/promotion booked.

One day when on the phone with Carnival I asked them

where do they list the rate booked as it is not listed in

the cruise documents; they said whichever way a passenger

books is listed in guest notes, followed by the rules for

the rate.

However, I am curious to hear from others that are not booked

early saver to see what it says in their guest notes

section of their cabin confirmation email.

:)

This is what my confirmation (under guest notes) says:

GUEST NOTES

1) Offer available to select states residents only, on select Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Port Canaveral, and Jacksonville ships and sailings. Proof of residency required.

So, should I assume I got the Resident rate? DH swears we got ES.

My confirm indicated resident rate and ES.
