Beach for the day

Hi all,

 

I'm cruising on the Explorer in February, and I want to do a beach day while in Nassau. Can anyone suggest a beach with amenities? (Restaurant, bar, showers, etc) I don't mind paying a guest fee at a hotel if necessary.

We went in October and we loved it. Pool was beautiful and the water was great. Excellent drinks.

We have been to the Sheraton twice before just for the day and it is nice. However, I have to say that this past August when staying for a week in Nassau we made a trip to Cabbage Beach on Paradise Island and were so impressed with the beach there. Water was absolutley beautiful and the beach was very nice. We even went a second time during our trip. We are cruising in February and plan to spend our day there again!

Keep in mind the water temperature in Nassau can be quite chilly in February.

We thought about the sunset catamaran cruise, but it might be too cold?

You should be fine and have a good time. You'll be riding around on a catamaran to look at the sunset ... not actually in the water. You probably will want to take along a light jacket or sweater.

just returned from nassau & freeport.. water was COLD to us... in nassau we went to the breezes resort.. 65.00 per person.. but since we had 12 people they let us have the day passes for 55.00 per person.. includes ALL drinks & food... it was a great day!!! taxi ride was 10.00 per person round trip!
