I called yesterday to inquire about our upcoming carnival cruise and to see if we could get any cash for casino. Response time was less than 2 minutes, I called 1-800-522-7466 quick and easy, but I was not expecting their response.

She told me that since we booked under a casino promotion of a free cabin, we do not qualify for any extra perks.

I am not complaining, but have you heard otherwise.

We booked at a casino rate but passed up the free cabin and upgraded to a discounted Vista Suite. I emailed OPC and let them know when we were sailing. They set us up with cash and Drinks on Us cards upon embarkation. OPC has always come thru for us. I have read that others have had the opposite experience. I believe some fault lies with the ships casinos. We noticed a big difference in perks after getting to know the dealers and Pit Bosses. Also, if you take care of them with tips they will go the extra mile for you and make sure you are rated properly. (if you are playing at the tables) On our last cruise it seemed we were the only ones tipping them. The pit boss was always at our table hanging with us while we were playing. He even hung out with us at Senor Frogs when we were in port.

I took advantage of a free cabin offer too. Sailed a few weeks ago.

 

I called beforehand too and was told not extra cash. Didn't think there would be but still had to try. The cabin was a great comp!
