Grand asia pre-cruise f2

We just booked the Grand Asia cruise on the Sapphire Princess on Oct. 7, 2014 and are considering pre-cruise F2 which is the Yangtze Experience. I would like some feedback on this excursion.

We just booked the Grand Asia cruise on the Sapphire Princess on Oct. 7, 2014 and are considering pre-cruise F2 which is the Yangtze Experience. I would like some feedback on this excursion.

 

I have not taken this with Princess, but can offer the following comments.

 

a) The itinerary is a good one and a great opportunity to see iconic parts of China.

 

b) The tour part of Princess cruisetours we have been on has always been excellent.

 

c) You can also do much of the tour itinerary with a company such as Viking River Cruises (which is the way we experienced much of what the Princess tour has). (Cruise Critic has a good thread about the Viking experience in China http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1495597 ) You may want to check out Chinese river tour picing and opportunities that would fit into the schedule for embarkation on your cruise.
