stowite Posted November 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2013 Any suggestions on a company that would do tours of Bologna from Ravenna. Ideally I am looking for a way to work out a way to tour the Ducati factory. Thanks
Rare Hlitner Posted November 15, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2013 Ahhh, we love this kind of challenge. Not sure about tour companies, but you can get to the Ducati factory via train (from Ravenna to Bologna and then a taxi or local bus to the factory) or by simply renting a car and driving yourself (its about a 1 hour drive). There will also be taxis at the port and any driver would be happy to take you for a few hundred Euros. It does not make a lot of sense to hire a tour guide since the factory has its own internal tour system. We assume you are already aware that the Ducati factory only has tours at specified times and its wise to book in advance to avoid being disappointed. stowite Posted November 16, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted November 16, 2013 Thanks, Yes, I do know the Ducati Factory tour needs to be arranged in advance. Thanks for the advice on finding transportation to the factory. Now to make the decision on whether to do this or go for the Ferrari tour.
readboat Posted November 21, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 21, 2013 My husband and I went on the Ducati museum tour two years ago. It is very easy to take a taxi there. There is a good bus service that would take you very close. Book the tour online. The Ferrari tour was only given to Ferrari owners. We didn't qualify The train from Ravenna to Bologna is not to long.
