lilmizz Posted November 17, 2013 #26 Share Posted November 17, 2013 For our upcoming cruise I paid $175/pp for a 7 day with a balcony but it was a special mailing that I got for that price. Previously on the same cruise we paid (I think) $329/pp for 4 of us. Were you sharing a room with 4 or 5 ppl?
MKDGman Posted November 18, 2013 #27 Share Posted November 18, 2013 You paid 175 For a 7 day cruise??????? And before that 329 for a 7 day cruise. With a Balcony? What ship, Can you email me details that show that amount because Ive not seen anything close to that ever! I paid 554 pp for 7 day on Dream in January 2014. that was Casino rate and they usually have the best rates. So you got a outstanding deal! I got a letter from carnival. Had to book before Octoberish, and cruise before the end of February. I really wasn't planning on taking a cruise since we just got back from a Northern Europe cruise in July, but we got the same rates.... AFT extended balcony was 170/person. Just could not pass it up. The money I spent on the last cruise more than made up the savings for this cruise. LOL

We actually got one of the bowling alley ones. We cruise Feb. 22 on the Legend. We have previously gotten a balconies for four people at $329/pp on both the Legend and the Pride. Same week both times the week of Labor day.

heatherbean Posted November 19, 2013 #31 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Leaving on the Pride in 11 days..bowling alley balcony..2 pax.. $399 each. That's a great price for the bowling alley balcony. We had 7258 this past April and loved it. We got some great price drops and OBC, and we ended up paying I believe about $494 each. Enjoy your cruise!!! lilmizz Posted November 20, 2013 #32 Share Posted November 20, 2013 Not sure if "base" rate is the correct terminology but curious as to what the lowest rate (before port charges, taxes, etc.) is you have ever seen/paid for a basic balcony room. I'm going to FINALLY be able to book my January cruise in 2 weeks & am curious if there is any chance to see balcony rates lower than what I'm seeing now. :D ETA: Should have specified - on a 7 day Caribbean cruise (E or W) out of Florida $529.00 for 7 Day Carnival Dream Balcony in January. CruiseAwesome Posted November 20, 2013 #34 Share Posted November 20, 2013 We had $439 in March on the Legend and we have $139 for an extended-balcony this time on Legend but that's because we were on her malfunction cruise ;)
