Pet Posted November 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2013 I don’t know whether this has been asked before but with regard to the MDR dinner menu I wondered why the ships (RCI and others) don’t display photographs outside the doors showing what the “chef’s selection” might be for that night? Personally, I often find when I am offered the menu by our server while in conversion with fellow diners, it can be difficult to grasp the various options available before asked what I wish to order. A selection of perhaps 4-5 signature dishes of the day available that evening, displayed outside the MDR for a few hours prior to opening (or even on the intranet), might assist people to make a better informed selection. After all, a picture says a thousand words!:p

Between you and me, having been on many Galley tours, the food served rarely looks like the picture that is hanging in the Galley.:D Edited November 17, 2013 by cruisenfever
spookwife Posted November 17, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2013 why? the descriptions are good enough and there is no way they could safely display food items. and unlike Japan, they don't have a wide variety of plastic food to place in display cases. dacsmom Posted November 17, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2013 Along with the menu posted outside the dining rooms there are so many threads here with the menus. I use them to decide which nights I will skip the MDR book the specialty restaurants.
