Can I bring 2 bottles of wine if I am the only person in my cabin?

I'm a Celebrity "virgin" so be kind.

The policy says "2 bottles per cabin." Does that means that if I am singly occupying a 2 person cabin (which I will be) I can bring 2 bottles of wine?

This is important, not because I drink wine, (I love it, but my sinuses don't :(), but because the friends I am traveling with have asked me to be their "mule" for an extra bottle.

In December my husband and I carried on four bottles and nobody even blinked an eye at it. Once inside the area where you check in there was a vendor selling wine to passengers. We took what we had brought with us to the pier and dropped it off in our stateroom. We then went back off the ship and back to the check in area and purchased 4 bottles of wine and took them back to the stateroom. We were set for the week. This was on the Silhouette in FLL.

I have never been on Celebrity . Are we able to bring wine on board ? Can we bring it to the dining room? Do they charge corkage fees ? Thanks for the info!

Hi,

From the Celebrity website:

Can I bring alcoholic beverages on board?

No beer or hard liquor may be brought onboard for consumption. If you wish to bring personal wine onboard with you on the day you board your cruise, you may do so, limited to two (2) 750ml bottles per stateroom. When enjoyed in any shipboard restaurant, bar or dining venue, each bottle shall be subject to a corkage fee of $25.

Enjoy your first Celebrity cruise !!

Woody

You can bring on board two bottles of wine per stateroom as you first board the ship. No charge to consume it in your stateroom; $25 corkage fee per bottle to consume it in a restaurant/bar/lounge.

If you're bringing more than your allowed amount, don't check in with your cabin mate. Go through security (baggage x-ray) in different lines and don't pretend to know each other.

Trust me, I learned the hard way!
