Pythian Posted November 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Ok – I’ve looked on Princess.com and looked to the old boards and threads, but I can’t find an answer to my ‘burning’ question. We just made Elite on Princess, and are taking a short cruise in mid-Dec on the Ruby. I seem to remember that Princess had a deal for Elite for their fist night, by waiving the surcharge in their specialty restaurants the night of departure. It’s not listed on the Princess web nor could I find it on the old threads (maybe I missed something?). Can we still get this on the departure night, or has it been removed from the general Elite list? Thanks! Either way, we are going to have a great cruise, but…. A covered “cover” would be nice too! Pam in CA Posted November 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Dinner in a specialty restaurant has never been an Elite perk. However, it IS a full suite perk. I've never booked a full suite so I couldn't tell you whether you can move this perk to another night. The only time I seem to remember it's possible is if the ship is in port overnight whereby you board day #1 and sail the evening of day #2. Pythian Posted November 19, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Ah... ok. It's like the breakfast. Rats. Makes sense though. Thanks...... I suppose someone who pays for a Suite should get some benifits - including the Thermal Suite too. I'll budget the extra $15 to $25 per person (as I have in the past). Thanks Pam - I should have just emailed you the question! You're the best! Dan
Steviewonder1 Posted November 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Full Suites get the Specialty Restaurant perk on the first night and it is in a formal invitation to you for that night. I have not tried to move it to a later date. We just go and enjoy with no crowd in the Crown Grill.
