My 15 year old son is freaking out about missing the Laker's games while on Navigator sailing Dec 1st. Does anyone know if the games will be on in the sports bar? Also any idea of where to maybe see the game in Galveston Fri the 29th? I appreciate your help it will make "my" vacation so much more enjoyable.

I believe Navigator will still have a sports bar on your cruise. Check out the 19th Hole venue on deck 14 (Viking Crown area), aft centrum.

Haha, tell him not to worry. I sailed during the football playoffs last year, and EVERY game was aired, somewhere. For me, it was on the cruise compass... So I don't think he needs to worry! They'll show it!

They may or may not show it depends on what feed the game is on

If its an LA area game than no

if it is a national game than probably

I live 2 minutes away from the Welland Canal, which connects Lake Ontario with Lake Erie (2 of the Great Lakes).

 

When I hear "Lakers", I immediately think of the ships that travel through the lakes (and through the canal). I see them daily.

That's what I was thinking, football playoffs would be much more likely than a run of the mill in-season NBA game.

Most Nationally televised In Season NBA games are on TNT or ESPN and some are played on ABC after the football season. If the game is not nationaly televised you will not see it as they are not going to just pick up the Lakers game on the local Los Angeles Affliate that televise them.
