I so admire your talent for writing and photography!! You are doing a great job...I even told my 10 year old grandson that I was following someone who was young who was doing a reiview with photos and that he needed to give it a try on our next family cruise:)

Since I have never been on Cunard am loving all the pictures of the ship...again great job:)

Sarah, I really think you are a more senior lady pretending to be young, LOL. I love your writing and your photos. You take pictures of all the rooms on the ships which I like and I LOVE the food shots. I can get plenty of info about the ports anywhere. I like looking at the ships and food. So perfect for me.

I am enjoying your review, Sarah, and many others are, too.

Ignore the moaners! Unfortunately, some Brits can be SO pompous and condescending - as well as being downright rude.

For a youngster who has many other things to occupy her time (like studying) I think you are doing a grand job! I am very impressed by your photos. I wish I could manage to work out how to upload some.

Keep up the good work![/

That's not nice .you are a very poor example for a student to talk negatively about a nation

Of great people !!!

And yes she should be spending her time writing

A term paper and studying than appeasing your

Appetite !!!!!

Shame shame

Sarah, I am enjoying your review and photographs. I appreciate your enthusiasm. I was 23 when I first went to sea and I remember my excitement - which hasn't diminished much a couple of dozen voyages and a few decades later. :) In June of last year I took my first Queen Elizabeth cruise and I was quite excited, just as on my first voyage on the QE2 and QM2. I am not a serious photographer, so I appreciate your photos.

Lovely_Serenity, I do like your style of cruise reviewing. Food is a very important aspect of the trip since you're stuck on the ship for food unless eating out during excursions.

I am soon going on my second cruise, another mediterranean cruise, with Oceania. This line is a foodie cruise so I know I will enjoy it. Since I have only been on Oceania it's nice to see how other cruise lines compare.

Thank you!

Haha, thank you! Exactly! I feel like it's pretty relavent to the trip and makes quite an impact on your enjoyment!

Oo I hope you have a wonderful time (: Be sure to tell me what you thought of it afterward! (Especially the food LOL)

That is great to hear! (:

Haha, don't worry. I don't really get affected by negativity, I'm literally the happiest person I know LOL.

Aw, thank you! && haha thanks for being so understanding if I take too long in posting and updating! ^^ (p.s. I use Flickr if that helps)

Thanks! :)

Sarah, I'm sure the subject of bullying has been discussed at your school. You are handling this bully wannabe far better than most adults would.

You have a large following out here in cruise land who just adore your writing, photos, intelligence and personality. I predict a glowing future for you.

Haha, well it is quite difficult to make me lose my cool LOL. Don't worry, it's pretty hard to upset me without physically being infront of me ^^~ (it has probably only happened once in my life, when some mean person here on CC accused me of being a fake or something and stalked my post history, but that's a long story. I still responded calmly LOL)

Anyways, thank you very much for your kind words (: You are too, too sweet.

LOL TOTALLY. I'm actually known amongst my friends/family for being like an old person :p I'm always cold when others aren't, I do EVERYTHING slowly (walk, eat, bathroom, read etc) and I even do the "urrgh" when getting up after sitting for a kong time LOL. It's kind of funny ^^

Yay! Thank you! //highfives// :D && btw I acrually do have A LOT of port pictures coming up. Like, A LOT. Look forward to it! ^^~

This is wonderful, we are already at day 2/3 of the cruise and it has only taken 3 months and 335 posts to reach this point.

Bah Humbug, what's your problem Scrooge? Don't be such a sad and bitter person. Your posts are always negative, lighten up and smell the flowers.

I assure you that I am neither sad nor bitter and I didn't think that my posts were negative. I just think that this review, whilst well written, shouldn't be titled "live from" when such a lot of time has passed. This is a ship orientated forum and the review contains so very little about the ship itself but concentrates on food. I wonder if there is a better site on which to post it. I realise that I don't have to read it but when someone goes to all the bother of doing a review/blog, I think that people should read their efforts. You may disagree but that is my view.

I absolutely agree..... this cannot in any way be construed as "Live". Title of the thread should be changed - perhaps to - "My food cruise on the QE2 with pictures - delayed"

If you read Sarah's first post on this thread you will see why she calls it Live From and also why those words are in quotes. Now that you know, you can stop reading it. Also, you can't change a thread title once you've posted it.

You and the other scrooge won't take away the joy so many of us get from Sarah's cruise experiences, food and all.

Well said!

Can't see what the problem is. If you don't like her style, don't read it.

Personally I find reviews which seem to focus on which drinks the person has had very boring, so I don't read them. Others love that style. So we are both happy.

There are so many interesting reports to read that to simply criticise one seems churlish.

I too love looking at the food porn:D. She has also shown some lovely pictures of the ship itself. I can hardly wait until her Disney cruise as that is a lovely ship. You have looked in on her post and it doesn't interest you so move on......nothing for you to see here. the rest of us will enjoy.:p

If you want food porn I suggest you check out some spectacular photo files on Pinterest. Shots of dried out pizza, a glass of milk and numerous ice cream cones do not fit this classification nor are they necessary. The shots of the ship are great and they make me want to book a voyage on her, but there's no need for the mundane, we see it daily. End of rant...since everyone else has no qualms about voicing their opinions.

I apologize if you find my report mundane, but you have to understand that I am doing this for my own enjoyment, not to please others who have a problem with it. Comments in regards to how my report is taking too long, or it should not be called a "Live from", do not bother me in the least, but if you are going to call my report dull and unintersting, please keep it to yourself. Thanks. End of rant... Since everyone else has no qualms about voicing their opinions.

Day 3: Katakolon, Greece

Monday, November 11, 2013 : Informal

I woke up at around 7am (or so I had thought) and thought it was somewhat bright outside for such an early hour. It turns out that I had forgotten to change clock one hour ahead, and it was actually now 8am LOL. Anyways, I got dressed for Katakolon and got ready for breakfast. Here was today’s Daily Programme:

I write this report for the enjoyment of others, as well as myself. I just want to inform everyone that I am quite a stubborn teenager, so it is very unlikely that I will be changing the way in which I write this report. If it makes people happy, I'm happy. There's always bound to be people who have some sort of issue with it, and I do appreciate their feedback, as long as they stay polite. I do not appreciate rude and spiteful comments. It is much more likely that I will listen and learn from your criticism if you present it in a polite and constructive manner, so please adhere to this request. That is all I ask. Thanks.

p.s. Thank you to everyone who have been supporting me this whole time :)
