Hawaiidan Posted November 23, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2013 This is not a mass-market ship.. The dining room is open without reservation for all meals. So is the Terrace café. The others will require reservations but un like the mass market boys there is no charge at all. Welcome to Oceana ....:D
hondorner Posted November 23, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2013 (edited) Any time, any available table, any (or none) table mates, if you really like a certain section, ask for it. The Terrace Cafe is also not like the mass market buffets. Servers fill your plate with your choices, waiters will carry your plate to the table (unless you want to carry it yourself), waiters will take your drink orders and serve you. The furnishings are upscale. And the food! None better at sea; Oceania spends more per passenger for food than any other cruise line and the preparation is fabulous. Thinking of the cost per passenger, I recently read a report on SeaTrade Insider that the average mass market cruise line spends less than $10 per day per passenger on food... alexandra cruiser Posted November 24, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 24, 2013 we also REALLY enjoyed the room service.Always on time, generous portions, could add to printed menu.Fun to have breakfast in room or on balcony, even lunch after late excursions, want to have dinner there ONE TIME in future.PS only continental breakfast below concierge level(too me a drawback). But thats been discussed ad nauseum.;)
