loodle_20 Posted November 25, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2013 We are finally telling a few people we are taking our family on a Disney Cruise and while everyone is happy for us someone did say "being a Disney cruise will you need to stay completely covered?" See both my husband and I are fairly covered in tattoos and it isn't something I have ever thought would be a problem but now it is swimming around in my head because even in this day and age there can be prejudice on tattoos. Mine is mainly my back but because it is a full back it can be seen when wearing strappy tops, dresses and swimwear but I do have some in my wrists and foot, my husbands however won't be able to be hidden easily with his arms and legs being covered. So has my sister planted a unnecessary seed of doubt or should we cover up?
MommaBear55 Posted November 25, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2013 Unnecessary to cover. Tats are everywhere now.
TwinPrincessMermaids Posted November 25, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2013 (edited) I can vouch for that. If you have ever been to the parks, there is plenty of skin (tat or un) to be had. Disney cruises are just like the parks in terms of clientele. I seriously wonder where people come up with this stuff. On the other hand, if you intend to be an employee, you might have to cover up. But hey, when you pay, its your vacation. I prefer not to see T-shirts with cussing and disgusting content. That bothers me worse than tats, that's for sure (and is an obvious intent to be vulgar). But that's just my two cents. Any time you are in the public, well, its the public. Nuff said. (it is a bit of a silly question, although not your fault, part of the rumor mill again.) Its Disney, not church... Edited November 25, 2013 by TwinPrincessMermaids
loodle_20 Posted November 25, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted November 25, 2013 Thank you, i figured it was a stupid question my tattoos have never bothered anyone and I have never been bothered by others but mine are easily covered. My husband however and a few of his friends have had people treat them like dangerous criminals just from their tattooed appearance so I guess because of that my sisters question planted that seed that had me troubled for a little while. We also don't like rude and crude shirts and none of our ink is offensive in anyway so I shouldn't imagine anyone having any problems with it, in fact my whole back is sailor jerry themed so it is fitting for a cruise ;) lol
