suggestions on where to stay near Port Canaveral

Have only stayed at Country Inn & Suites. Liked the hotel itself, but the shuttle to port was horrible. Cramped going both ways and waited 45 minutes for shuttle to arrive when we got back.

Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, but will pay the extra to park at the port for the convenience.

The Comfort Inns and suites has a decent stay and park package with breakfast. We got a good deal on booking.com. The shuttle ride was longer going to the ship because of the cruise traffic but we were on the ship by 130. Most of the people there were going on a cruise and when we got back we were off the ship and back to our car in no time!

I prefer the Residence Inn to the Radisson UNLESS you have kids who want to use the pool. Radisson has the better pool.

Residence Inn--free breakfast for all. Radisson breakfast for 2 included in cruise package, not included in some packages. Residence newer, nicer. In fairness, I haven't seen the Radisson since their renovations have been completed.

Also, Radisson shuttle serves not only their hotel, but guests transferred from their "sister" hotel a mile or so down the road....so get your shuttle reservation as early as you can!

LaQuinta in Hollywood is where we stay. You can leave your car for free as long s 14 days. Free breakfast. They have a shuttle to the ship and you can arrange for them to pick you up when you come back.

We don't stay in Port Canaveral area so I don't have any hotel suggestions, but for parking we always go to ParkCruise.com to leave our car. About $8/night. Close to ships, very quick service, secure lot.
