Sounds like the storm is headed to Mexico or the Gulf.

 

good for Dawn, not good for western Caribbean itineraries, which will probably be changed to eastern Caribbean itinerary.

 

That's life in the cruising-during-summer lane.

 

That said, most of our cruises have been in July and August, and we have only be adversely impacted once, when our cruise to western Caribbean had to be changed to eastern, and then we lost two ports of call on that itinerary due to ordinary, torrential rain.

 

Angry cruisers got all of us 50 percent off next cruise, which we wound up not using.

Has the Dawn ever changed the itinerary to Canada to avoid a hurricane?

 

I heard that some ships do that.
