Cruise Parking in Tampa

We have an upcoming cruise from Tampa on the Dawn and have been looking at parking at the port. The Channelside Parking Garage across from the Cruise Terminal is what we are thinking of and their web site tells us that Cruise Parking is paid in advance. Have any of you had experience with this facility? Is there a separate entrance for Cruise Parking or is it all done at one entrance?

Thanks in advance

We recently returned from the 2 day Cruise to Nowhere on the Dawn.

The garage is directly across the street from the port. They give you a token when you enter and you pay at a pay station kiosk before you exit the garage. You get the token back and deposit it at the gate when you leave. The parking for the 2 day was $15/day.

We are on the December 29th sailing on the Dawn out of Tampa.

The CTN was a great warmup. The ship was clean and the crew was very friendly.

We used the regular port parking at $15/ day. We had to pay as we went in...got the token...and it opened the gate on the way out. We did not pay in advance.

It is a bit of a walk...so drop off all your luggage at the terminal and one person go park the car...the cross walk on Channelside Drive is way at the south end of that garage, so parking at that end (go to your left as you enter) can save you some walking. Your party will be guided to the north end of the terminal where the escalator is. I would guess the walk to be about equivalent to 4 city blocks.

The $20 premium for valet parking saves that walk, both ways.

Tampa is our favorite port to sail out of as parking is a breeze. We reserved online, no problems. We just parked and roll our suitcases across the street to the Dawn. Getting off we carried our own suitcases and got off to an early start home. Have a great cruise!
