Older person and zip-line

We are going to zipline in Belize. We are taking our two kids with us but my mother in law might want to go to. My question is, do you have to climb a ladder to the platform? I have never zipped before so I don't know how it works. My mother in law has had her knees replaced so I thought it might be too strenuous for her. Thanks for any info you can pass along to me.

We have had to climb stairs and have actually been hoisted up too. With knee problems or replacements though I would not recommend zip lining. The landing at the next station may be a little tough for someone with knee problems. Also they have you make a little running leap at times off of the platform. That is just my opinion - maybe others have zip lined with knee replacements and they can give you their experience.
