Passports for children getting off in Belize

Has anyone traveled on a cruise recently with children using only birth certificates and photo id's for their children? Were there any problems needing more documents to get off the ship in Belize? Does it make a difference if you are going on a private excursion?

 

Any information you have would be appreciated.

If they are your children you will only need their sail and sign card and if passengers are 16 and over you will need a gov't issued ID.

If they are my niece and nephew the only other piece of documentation besides the birth certificate would be the PARENT / GUARDIAN CONSENT & RELEASE FORM right?

You will not need a BC in port but do bring the notarized release form signed by the parents. The ships sail and sign card has the children's information and their picture when inserted into the scanner.

He took his DL and S&S card. Didn't have to show anything but his S&S card.
