New to Regent

Hi all. We are new to Regent (and cruising in general) and I was hoping to take advantage of your expertise.

We are considering booking the Rome to Istanbul trip Oct. 21 2014.

Any suggestions as to cabin. Right now we are thinking of concierge suite E.

Hi - welcome to Regent and Cruise Critic. You have selected a great itinerary, on my favorite ship at the right time of the year. That's a great start. At first glance, I like the category "E" suites on deck 8. They are mid-ship with nothing above or below them that would create noise. In my opinion, the mid-ship cabins on the Voyager are the best.

825 is available. I'd take that suite over the three your TA mentioned. Hope this helps.

Ditto this advice and that of TravelCat! Love deck 8 and I'd grab 825 in a heartbeat.

On the Voyager, it is best to avoid aft suites due to possible aft vibration. If 825 is available, I'd take it!

How do you find out which cabins are available? TA is saying only 737/911/964 are available in that category.

I find out by going on the Regent website and "pretending" to book a cruise. This allows us to see which cabins are available. If these are your only choices, I would select 737 first and 911 next. I would not book 964 as it is too far aft.
