Take a look at my review in the link below, The 3rd/4th pictures are of the A1 Deck 11 rooms. The balcony is not covered. Room was 1135. Port side, second from the last towards the aft.

Congrats on getting the upgrade. Thank you so much for the link to your review -- excellent -- it helps alot.:)

We just got back from 11 days on Equinox. Most days we went to Persian Gardens around 5 to de-stress. You know vacation is SO stressful! We used the steam room and showers and enjoyed the silence and the heated loungers as the sun set. It was one of my favorite things on the ship. Not for everyone but definitely for ME.

Hi, hoping someone can give us some insight in to what the Aqua Class cabins on Deck 11 are like. I keep searching however cannot find any photos other than the Celebrity promo photo.

Also, what should we look to experience in Persian Gardens?

We are on the Constellation next month -- first time on Celebrity.Have a Port Side A1 on Deck 11.

Long time RCL cruisers (Diamond Plus). Just off Liberty of the Seas yesterday.

Are the balconies on Deck 11 covered or open?

All advice, suggestions, etc. welcome. Thank you.:)

Feel free to look at the video in my signature for a slow/detailed tour of an AQ cabin. This was aboard the Eclipse.

The deck 11 cabins on the M class ships have been added over the last couple of years, You should consult a deck plan. Access to the majority of the ship is via the aft elevators. It can be a little confusing. There are two doors forward. They look like they don't go anywhere but if you circle around Qsine you can access the pool. You can also use the stairs opposite the elevator to have quick access to the Lido and pool. There are also two doors on either side aft with stairs to the aft bar, also with access to the Lido,

Your shower door will probably leak. It's not you, it's a faulty design. Your cabin steward will handle it. The shower head is one of the best Aqua cabin perks.

Since you have never cruised, your cabin size may come as a surprise. The cabins are not huge but you will have plenty of storage. The desk, the night tables, and the closets should provide you with ample storage for your cruise. If your luggage does not fit under the bed have the cabin steward store it for you.

There is one electrical outlet in the bath for electric razors only. There is only one double outlet in your desk lamp that's why the power strip is so necessary.

There is a safe in the closet which will hold your valuables and an I pad and a few other things like a cup of chips from the casino.

The hair dryer will be in a desk drawer. If you need one with real power bring your own.

Do not bring an iron or clothes steamer. They are not permitted on any RCI ships. The laundry service is great and no more costly than your favorite dry cleaners.

It may take you a couple of days to find your way around the ship but if you always head to the aft elevator you can access your cabin without going outside.

Have a great FIRST cruise.

No unfortunately you have to lug your carry on around until they open up the rooms.

Although it could be a nuisance having to drag a carry on around, it is a good idea to pack a change of clothes as sometimes your luggage might not get to your cabin before dinner. I'm sure I don't need to say that everything of value should be in your carry on also but I am constantly amazed by posters who have lost bags with iPads, jewellry and other valuables in them. You are not limited to one carry on like the airlines.

Sitting on the Constellation right now waiting to disembark. Was in AQ aft cabin 1138 (favorite cabin ever) and will try to get a full review up in the next few days. If you have specific questions let me know, I have pictures to post too.

We like to pack bathing suits and valuables in our backpack (which we use later in the cruise for our shore excursions) so that we can hang by the pool if our luggage is late. All the rest we give to the porter. For us this is way better than lugging a carry on about. ;0)

Enjoy the magic that is a first cruise, but beware, they are highly addictive!

I've never been on a cruise before and I've booked my first cruise in the new AquaClass cabins on the 11th deck. Can anyone offer any thoughts or suggestions for a newbie like me?

We have cruised 8 times but this will be our first on Celebrity--originally booked a concierge balcony but watched prices drop & were able to upgrade to A1 for a nominal upcharge. (I think I first upgraded to a C1Aft for $20pp, then $10pp to A2, then $10pp to A1--so $40pp more than our C3?)

A1 balconies have no cover--I think I will like this, we shall see!:p

A lot of good comments. We had an AQ stateroom on Constellation deck 11 last week. These are new staterooms added to the ship last year, with new beds and new bathrooms with glass door showers with multiple jets. Unlike Deck 9 AQ, the deck 11 balconies have only a shallow cover/overhang, so there is little shade when the sun is on your side of the ship, but they are private and unless in the first few cabins under the basketball court, very quiet. Deck 11 is great. Quiet, no walk through traffic. Go forward on 11 to the elevators that go right down to the entrance to Blu, or walk one flight down to the main buffet. Go aft and one flight down is one of the best places on the ship where you can have lunch and enjoy a great view astern, and in the evening enjoy a really good singer/ guitar player. We too take swim suits in a carry on, board early about 11:00, change, get a bite to eat, grab a lounge and enjoy the sun and pool until rooms are ready about 1:00-1:30. We enjoyed the Aqua class perks, and absolutely loved Blu where the food and service were outstanding. Dinner in Blu alone was well worth the AQ upcharge, but breakfast in Blu, was a special treat.

It just dawned on me that I never updated after our cruise. We loved it! The AquaClass deck 11 (room 1138) was fantastic. If we stood at the railing we could see the bar below, but the size of the balcony made up for it.

Blu was absolutely the kicker. We never went to any of the specialty dining rooms because the menu at Blu changed every night and we thought it was so good, we didn't want to miss that night's selections.

While on board, we booked a mothers and sons trip for our mothers on the Summit in October. AquaClass, deck 11 again! :)

These replies are terrific. Need to add extra large sunhat and sun shirt to my packing list given the A1s on Deck 11 do not have much protection from the sun. Hubby will be happy -- he is like a moth to a lamp when it comes to sun.

I know on the newer Celebrity ships that the Spa area has the thermal lounges, is it the same in the Persian Gardens on the Constellation?

Thank you to all for your feedback.

The Persian Garden on Constellation has the thermal lounge with heated chairs along with a few thermal theme rooms (Turkish bath, etc).

We loved our 11 deck cabin 1114. Quick scoot down to oceanview cafe and to Sunset bar. Sometimes I wish Blu had more "normal" food but it is always an adventure which is fun. I always leave Blu satisfied but not stuffed and the service is impeccable.
