Free Cruise? Yes please!

So my mom comes in this morning, worried about some cruises coming up at $0 as she was wishing and hoping to get away from this cold snap we've been enduring up in Northern California.

What?? $0? I take a look at her screen, and yup. $0 for an inside, $600+ for a view, and $70 for a balcony? We start playing around, and can't believe our luck!

I play around on my account, I have great rates, but not free. There's only one problem, we are a group of 3 when we travel because of my 11 year old son. Adding a third to the reservation makes the price skyrocket.

Compromise!

I book a room at $100 single booking premium (but receive it back in onboard credit)

Mom books a room for her and my son at $0! Carnival helped link the reservations, we are right next door to each other, and we are on our way to Mexico on board the Miracle in February!! What an early Christmas surprise!:D

No glitch, it was an offer for casino guests? ( I swear I didn't spend that much in there! I did win 3rd place in the little slot tournament they had.) Our last cruise was... over 3 years ago? I am super stoked about this trip, and it wasn't being planned for, but how could we resist that pricing??

We booked over the phone with a representative, no glitch or mistake. :)

(To Clarify, I booked mine first, the single room to get a desirable location, then called and was able to get an adjacent room for my son and mom.)

I was trying to see if we could swing a balcony, but this gets us on the ship and we can spend more time up on deck, right? This close to Christmas, it was hard to justify springing a trip like this, but seriously, how could we not?

Well, they will be pretty disappointed in my casino showing, as I'm not anywhere near a regular. :p I am going to enjoy this cruise with my mom and son and have a blast though, no matter. :)

Do you donate over $100 a day in the casino?

Oh Heck no, my husband would never let me on another cruise again! LoL

I've only been on the one cruise, and that was 3 years ago. xD

 For some reason, CCL thinks you will pay for the cruise in the slots

Anyway, run with it! Have a nice time.

Very strange but have a great time.

I'm jealous! 35 cruises on Carnival....and I'm in the casino day and night....I play tables and can lose $100 in no time at all!! And I've NEVER been offered even $100 off a cruise! Much less a free cruise. Good for her but kinda sux for someone like me who cruises a lot and gambles regularly....

I'm just really grateful for this opportunity. Mom had been living in Alaska the past 3 years, and she's recently moved back to California. it'll be a great vacation with the three of us (My husband won't cruise )

We got to thinking that this was such an incredible deal, so we called Carnival this morning to see if we could upgrade to a balcony for at least one of the rooms.

All in all, once we were done, both inside rooms were upgraded to extended balconies, one floor up, for $50 per cabin. How incredible is that? I feel like we won some secret jackpot or something or this is all dream. (And I didn't even lose my onboard credit!)

Can't wait 'till February now!!
