Are you talking jewel class ships?

If so, you get a bathtub, a slightly larger cabin and slightly larger balcony. I like the minis.

And good for you if it was an upgrade (at no cost to you!).

Also if talking about a Jewel class ship, many of the midship mini-suites on deck 11 can get noisy at night because of the pool deck cleaning and maintenance plus preparations in buffet and italian restaurant galleys. Without knowing what cabin, no way of tellinf whether I'd have taken the upgrade or not.

It's under the pool deck area, the music from pool deck (especially if there is a band) can probably be heard in the cabin, same goes with the maintenance of the deck (they move the chairs and tables around while cleaning) at wee hours. I'd say that the location is not the best on deck 11 but could be a lot worse. :)
