I booked back in august for a cruise on magic on may 4. Total came out to 2215 $ and just checked for same type of room riggt next to my room and under the holiday sale total came out to 1970.54 $. I filled out one there forms. Whats the chances they adjust my room or give me onboard credits?

They should reduce your balance due.

Did you book direct with Carnival or with a TA? If you used a TA you will have to contact them to complete the form.

If you have not paid off your cruise yet, they will simply reduce how much is due. Since you cruise in May, you are still well before your final payment date, so hopefully you haven't paid it off yet. After final payment, they give OBC for any price adjustments.

If you do wind up with a lot of OBC, more than you would use, you can use the casinos to get the money out in cash. At a slot machine, set up a players club account, and charge a certain amount to your sail & sign account. Once you're done gambling, however long or short that is, cash out your players club account on the machine (you need to do that any time you leave a machine), go to the cashier, and ask for your remaining balance in cash.

chances are 100% if it's for the same category you booked.

No reason not to give you the price reduction.:)

And should I give carnival a call?

To be honest, I never fill out the forms, but I call every other week and ask them to check for a lower price and they do it for me. Just give them a call, I've never had anyone rude, they've always been pleasant and willing to help.

Good luck!

I booked my next cruise on the Magic for May while I was on a cruise. I noticed a price drop a couple weeks ago and filled out a form. I never heard back so I called them and was given the price difference immediately. Point of the story - don't wait for the form........call them.

I only have 200 $ left on balance so if it goes down after I pay off cruise they probably just pay difference in on board credits?

Yes. For price differences before final payments, they lower how much you owe. For price differences after final payment, they give you on-board credit.

I'm very surprised that they let you do this over the phone. That must be something new they're doing. It wasn't long ago that it was truly impossible for them to do it over the phone for Early Saver. All other rates were fine, but not Early Saver. Since that has apparently changed, I now know to call instead of sending in the form.

I have read quite a few post in the last month or so that said that they just called instead of sending in the ES form.

Well just got my early saver form email back and they said it was denied.said that I didn't book under early savers even thou I booked 7 months before cruise. But ended up calling and woman on phone was nice and said I love when I can save people money. So seems like doing it over phone is way to go

Just because you booked early don't mean you are booked early saver. Form is for ES rate only. By calling and the fact you are before final payment you get the match. Congrats!!!
