I'm pleased to see that Princess has just announced the 2012-2013 Winners of the Caribbean Panama Canal Shore Excursion Awards as determined by passenger feedback on tours, and the Authentic Embera Indian Village Tour was one of two winners for Panama.

From which port is this excursion offered??

This excursion is normally offered on any of the ports on a cruise to Panama. That would include Ft. Amador or Gatun Lake if you are on a Canal transit, or Colon if your ship is just stopping in Panama.

My cruise has a stop in Colon 9am-7pm. Is it possible to visit the Embera Indian Village from this stop or is it too far.

Yes, that's plenty of time... if you go with a ship's tour, no problem. If you go independently arrange for the earliest possible time.

I took my 10 year old grandson on this tour last year while on a cruise. I have been on many cruises to many ports and I have to say this is the best tour I have ever experienced. My grandson loved it as well. He is an honor student and was just fascinated with the whole experience. I am going on this same cruise with Princess in two weeks and plan to take this tour again. The crafts are very reasonably priced as I have made baskets and know what work goes in to making one. Look at different vendors though as their skills vary greatly. For those with physical difficulties let me say I have knee replacements and had no trouble as these most gracious people are eager to offer help as needed. It is just like walking into the pages of a National Geographic and well worth the money in my opinion.
