yes they do- at least they have on freedom, voyager, mariner and navigator. :)

It's a version of Texas Hold Em where you play against the dealer's hand only. You can google it to find various strategies and how to play. You don't have to have a poker face to play it! :)

It is available on Adventure of the Seas. That's actually where I first played it a couple of years ago and look forward to playing it again in March.

And the biggest difference is that Ultimate Texas Holdem is a house game that has a built-in edge for the casino. Just like blackjack, craps, slots, baccarat, etc - you will lose in the long run.

Yes thank you. Anyone that gambles knows the house always has an edge. We treat it as Monopoly money when we walk in the door. But thanks for your words of wisdom. It's a fun game and if you play the strategy correctly, you can do better than most other table games. It helps that other players at the table can't screw up the cards - like they do at blackjack. It's hardly bingo. :rolleyes:

Thanks , Love you for that for that, I only asked the question as we usually cruise on Celebrity and they do have Ultimate Texas, cruising with RCC in May for the first time. I enjoy the game and on Eclipse in October I won enough over the two weeks to nearly pay for our cruise. Not at all like Bingo in my opinion

ps - yeah Mr Wolf won enough playing it on a previous cruise to cover our entire onboard account which was considerable! ;) Hasn't happened every time but he generally does better rather than not.

Biggest mistake people make is not raising 4x early. All the player edge is in the 4x bet

I was just letting the OP know that Ultimate Texas Holdem is not like regular poker. Regular poker is the only game where the casino does not have an edge since you are playing against other players and not the house. Of course there is a small rake per pot but no edge. Good players win in the long run, bad players lose in the long run.

 

I was by no means telling the OP that they are throwing their money away. Believe me, I have thrown plenty of my own money away in several casinos. :eek:

one thing Mr Wolf told me to mention is that the cruise ship ups their advantage. They burn a card and I think the pays are different.
