Chunka Beach and only beach

What happened to the bus at the entrance to Falmouth port that would just take you to the local beach? There was a beach bar, chairs, umbrellas and change facilities and they even had lunch included if you wanted it. The local people at the sign up tent said they don't do the beach any more and that sounded strange.

Is there someone else doing that beach? it was only 30 minutes from the Falmouth pier.
