I'm just wondering which excursion would be best to do in this port? We want to see Dunns River Falls but there's not one for just that. Can anyone recommend a good excursion with this included? Thanks you. We are sailing May 11, 2013. Just me and my husband.

We had a great time doing the Cool Runnings excursion. You take a catamaran to the falls. Beware of the rum punch coming back, because the crew keeps it coming. If you do this, the crew will rent you water shoes (which are required to climb the falls) for $5, which is cheaper than anywhere else we saw.

We went to Dunn's River on our own. Taxi is $10 per person round trip and it costs $20 for adults and $12 for kids to get in. You can get a taxi right in front of the cruise terminal. They will drop you off and pick you back up when you ask them to. I had them drop us off at the Ocho Rios Jerk Center for lunch and we walked back to the cruise terminal area after shopping. We are going to do this again when we go back in March.

Dont know if you got a good answer but If you book thru Moby Dick Tours they have the cheapest ( I think) and best Dunns River falls adventure. You also get a great lunch with all the Red stripe beer you can drink! Good ppl, Mark is awesome and his Guide is great. Ive went with them on several excursions.

If Carnival still offers - the tour to the Bob Marley cultural museum & masoleum is a great tour. It is pretty much an all day tour and includes lunch and a scenic drive.

Skip the Carnival tours and book a private tour. We just used Liberty Tours Jamaica last month and had the greatest tour of our lives. They offer a variety of tours, will do what you want to do and when. Aden and Ricardo are the main two drivers. They will stay with you the entire time. Very safe and secure with a clean, air conditioned van. Secret Falls is a must see, and jerk chicken is the BEST!

Were you in Falmouth or Ocho Rios? Would we be able to do the cab from Falmouth?

I second the Catamaran. They pick you up right at the ship dock, sail to the falls, take good care of you onboard and at the falls and on the way back you dance, drink and enjoy the scenery both on the shore and on the boat! We had a blast doing this!

Can you be picked up at the ship's dock in Falmouth? We're sailing on Royal Caribbean. Thanks.

I recommend Secret Falls instead of Dunns with Liberty Tours Jamaica. We used them in August and had a fabulous time.

I don't know what is offered in Falmouth in this regard. We've always done it from OR, but I would think it might be too far to sail there from Falmouth (and back) on a cruise port day. They MAY offer something like that though.

Hi we have just returned from the New Year cruise on Independence of the Seas and did the tour to Ocho Rios and Montego Bay ref FY 59. In our opinion it was not worth it as we spent over half the time in a small coach, almost an hour from Falmouth to Dunns River Falls, which was worth seeing but I would not recommend anyone with any walking problems to even attempt, we were almost bullied by the guide to take part but they were insisting that you changed into swimming gear which we did not have with us so she gave up in the end. Do not accept a guide if you are just watching as you can see perfectly well from the vantage points without their help. We found it very commercialised and pretty intimidating having to walk through the stalls of tourist tack to get back to the car park. We then had nearly one and a half hours drive back the same road and past the ship to a small overcrowded beach in downtown Montego Bay where we were deposited for an hour before being collected and taken back to the ship. It could be argued that this was Montego Bay but we were never near Ocho Rios and the tour of Sam Sharpe Square never took place because we were running late. All in all very disappointed with this tour. By the way we heard horror stories that the last time the ship was in Falmouth two passengers hired a taxi from the ship to Dunns River Falls and we're mugged en route, nearly missing the ship as the Police took so long to take their details etc.

Our tour with Liberty Tours Jamaica was private and Ricardo did not let the locals try selling their goods. We did not encounter any of that.

We did not sit on a bus either waiting for a group of passengers to go to or from Secret Falls. This is why I prefer to do my own private tour and not the ship excursions.

How do you book with Moby Dick Tours? I have tried to reserve a spot on their website but cannot complete transaction? Can you just get off the ship and book then?
