Cruise - Cozumel, what to do

I've been reading about this for days...don't know if I really am thrilled with the idea of laying on a hot beach, I can do that on the boat. Was thinking about the pub crawl. How about just walking around and shopping downtown near the boat? Is this feasible and worth the time? I collect Hard Rock charms and would like to go there for that, not really to eat there. Is the downtown area easy to get to and walk around or is this not something most would wanna do?

Depending upon your pier, downtown is either a short walk or a short cab ride. Lots of shopping (and many pushy shop owners) and you can bargain with most.
