VIP in San Juan

I often wonder if it really matters in San Juan...

I don't get those perks yet, but even if I did, for San Juan I don't plan on being 1st on the ship.

The FTTF is available for our purchase, and I just can't see the point.

We plan on dropping off our bags, do some sight seeing.

Maybe take the ferry over and taxi to the Rum Factory

Come back for check in at some slower time of the afternoon.

Have a bite to eat and head back out to see what there is to see again.

With the Ship leaving so late at night, there really is no rush to get on :)

Sorry, my bad, I didn't have or answer your question...Maybe someone will know though

I hope my post helps you to maybe have some ideas for Embarkation day :)

We have done this cruise before as well and I guess I get where you are coming from. The last time we were not platinum and I recall sitting around waiting to board in a pretty small location.

We would like to leave the hotel, drop our luggage and carry on in the room and then go back into old San Juan.

Hopefully someone will know the answer to my question.

We got FTTF for both our March 2 and Nov 1 out of SJ just so we could drop our carryons in our room and go back out into SJ. Since we have a lot of meds we can't take a chance on checking them. I guess whether FFTF is worth it depends on each individuals situation.

I'm with you on the FTTF. I booked it for both my rooms in a few weeks and for our Splendor cruise with you in November.

You have to check out of most hotels by 11am. The rooms most times aren't ready until about 1:30pm so what do you do with your carryons? For the $50, its worth it to me to go right to my room, drop everything and then head to Lido for lunch and head out to Old San Juan to do some sightseeing.

As you stated, some don't see the worth of FTTF but to others, its worth every dime.
