pal2pluto Posted December 29, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2013 It's been a few years since we've cruised…..and it's been a few different cruise lines. But two of activities I really enjoyed was a wine tasting and a cooking demo. At the wine tasting, I think there was a nominal fee, but we got to try about 6 different wines and learn about them. At the cooking demo, we watched, then sampled, and got a fabulous recipe for Salmon w/Mango Salsa. Do they still do those???? Or is that passe now? dacsmom Posted December 29, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2013 In February on the Freedom of the Seas I went to the Taste of Tuscany tour. There was lunch, a pasta making demonstration, and a kitchen tour. I loved it and want to do it again.

They still do wine tasting, though the cost might be higher than it used to be. They now have a "Lafite Wine Tasting Experience" which runs around $20 per person. I believe this can be booked in advance using the Pre-cruise Planner on Royal's website.
SECdawg Posted December 29, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2013 On my past two cruises on Enchantment they have had cooking demonstrations in the centrum. I know one of them was salmon.
stefani_ Posted December 29, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 29, 2013 (edited) I was just on the Allure and there were several wine tastings throughout the cruise, almost if not certainly at least once a day, at Vintages in Central Park. There was a fee associated, but I did not inquire about the details and the price was not published in the Compass. We were looking forward to some cooking demonstrations but didn't notice any on the Compass. Edited December 29, 2013 by stefani_
