What is the dress code for the first night in the MDR since we would most likely not have our luggage?

It is relaxed the first evening. Likely you will have your luggage. I can't recall not having my luggage before dinner anytime in the last fifteen years on Celebrity.

The first night in the MDR is the same as every other night that is not a formal night, however if your luggage has not arrived you should be fine in the clothes you wore boarding.

I usually board wearing a summer dress with a swimsuit in my bag then I am ready for anything :)
