Port Hedland

Recommended Posts

Sometimes I am curious why cruise lines make a stop in a place like Port Hedland. Any ideas what to do other than watch iron ore be loaded? I have checked the web page for Port Hedland but still missing ideas. Any suggestions are welcome for February.

I have been to Port Hedland a few times by road. The iron ore plant is very interesting, but I can't think of anything else to suggest doing/seeing.

We just went to Port Headland on Radiance of the Seas.

The local market was on for us - next to the local art museum/shop (free entry). The information centre has some good souvenirsavade8yr.jpg6a7abyva.jpggu4emave.jpg etc.

There's also a little heritage museum and the old pub.

There is a nice park area as well next to the ocean and some old relics ( machinery/trains etc near the shopping centre).
