My daughter and her boyfriend are supposed to fly from NY to Orlando this weekend for a WDW/Disney cruise vacation.

 

Only problem is, her boyfriend is in Israel right now. He's supposed to fly home to Newark tonight.

 

Yes, during the blizzard.

 

My daughter has been on the phone with the airlines, with Disney, with the trip insurance folks, etc.

 

As of right now, El Al is telling her the flight will take off at midnight tonight NY time, and will arrive in Newark tomorrow afternoon, after the snow storm is over.

 

Back up plan is for him to fly to Orlando and meet her.

 

fingers crossed that this trip happens, she's been looking forward to it for a long time.

I'm glad they got trip insurance. Hope everything works out and they don't miss their vacation.

Yes! Plane took of from Tel Aviv last night, will arrive in Newark later today -- storm is over and airport has reopened.

So he made it back from Tel Aviv.

 

Now they are stuck at JFK. Delays. There was a minor accident, plane skidded off the runway and the airport was closed for two hours.
