Transportation Suggestions from Sleep Inn to Port Everglades

We are flying into FLL and staying one night before our cruise at the Sleep Inn in Dania. The hotel offers a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. We need to arrange transportation to Port Everglades for the next morning. We are a family of 5 with a good amount of luggage. Any suggestions?

Many of the hotels in the area offer a shuttle service to the port. You can conatct the hotel and find out if it's offered and the costs. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from about $20. You would have to specify a minivan taxi. You can have the hotel call one for you, or you can call the taxi company yourself and make a reservation. We've done this with Yellow Cab before at 954-777-7777.

Sleep Inn does offer a port shuttle for a fee, unless they have stopped. For about the same price, you should be able to get 2 taxis at your convenience. Call 954-777-7777 if there are no taxis to be seen.

A matter of personal preference for us. We never take the shuttle from the hotel to the port. We don't like boarding a crammed shuttle with a group of other people, thus it is a taxi for us. But again, it is a personal preference.:)
